Zeke and Pamela both studied at UW-Madison where they fell in love with both each other and the world of ballroom dancing. During their time at Madison they began teaching and competing professionally as members of the National Dance Council of America. Zeke is originally from Chicago, but Zeke and Pamela moved back to the Fox Valley (where Pamela grew up) back in 2011. It was here that they opened Boogie Ballroom with the desire to bring a fun, easy-going dance experience to everyone that walked through its doors. Zeke and Pamela currently work with students across a wide range of ages and dance experiences. They've had the privilege of watching their students' love for dancing grow as they learn at a pace that's comfortable for them. There's no greater joy than hearing a student tell them how much dance has changed their life for the better.
Zeke and Pamela love sharing their story of how their ballroom dance journey began. They knew nothing of the ballroom dance world until their final year of college, yet here they are learning and growing and sharing their passion for dance every day (and somehow even ended up with their own studio to do it with). There is no perfect age to begin dancing except now. Everyone can learn so if the desire is there don't let fear hold you back. Zeke and Pamela's number one goal of the studio is to create a fun, encouraging atmostphere that is filled with laughter and memories.
AJ (also known as Adrian) was born and raised in Madison, WI. As a kid he always loved music, so of course the love of dance wasn't far behind. He started taking ballroom classes when he was 11 years old and has been doing it ever since. At the age of 16 he also started taking hip hop classes and found an entirely different side of dance that he had only seen in movies and videos! He loves that dance has the ability to speak emotion without ever saying a word. Dancing has been such a big outlet for him and his hope is to show people that they too can use dance in a therapeutic way. Nothing brings the incredible dynamics of emotions out like dancing does!
On a more personal note, when asked to give a glimpse of who AJ is as a person, he thought it was really important to share that he likes monkeys and apes...but also really likes tigers and dragons. Also, he like ice cream, but prefers sherbert. Oh, and when you meet him, don't forget to ask him to share the screwdriver story lol.
Erin is a Neenah native. Born and raised in this incredible community, she graduated from Neenah High School where she and her husband are now also raising their two children. This is also where her passion for dance first began as she was a member of Neenah's Act II and Vintage. Her love of performing quickly grew and dance became a permanent stamp on her heart. Erin's parents knew dance would always be a part of her life, but following school she worked for 16 years at a powersports dealership. Vroom Vroom! This girl can talk powersport equipment with the best of them, but then put on her sparkly pair of dance shoes and gracefully tear up the dance floor. Dancing has always been her “happy place.” She is happily married with two children who also found their own love for dance. They both followed in their mom's footsteps and actively participate in the youth dance program here at Boogie Ballroom. Erin started dancing professionally with AJ in 2019 and realized this is where she was meant to be! Her biggest goal as an instructor is to pass on her passion and love of dance and to create a space where everyone feels like this can be their “happy place” as well. She knows that, deep down, many people may feel that dancing is something they "can't do", but the reward of seeing those same people grow into the beautiful dancers they thought they could never be is one worth cherishing!
